Barcelona are facing an injury crisis in midfield after both Frenkie de Jong and Pedri were forced off in the first half of their match against Getafe on Saturday.
De Jong lasted just 26 minutes before being replaced by Fermín López, while Pedri was substituted just minutes later. The club has not yet released any details on the extent of the injuries, but both players are expected to miss upcoming matches.
The injuries leave Xavi's side extremely threadbare in the middle of the park, with Oriol Busquets and Riqui Puig the only other recognised midfielders in the squad.
