Carnival Cruise Lines Updates Alcohol Policy
Guests of Legal Drinking Age Can Now Bring Wine or Champagne Aboard
Up to 12 Sealed Non-Alcoholic Cans or Bottles Permitted
Miami, FL - Carnival Cruise Lines has announced a change to its alcohol policy, allowing guests of legal drinking age to bring one 1.75-liter bottle of wine or champagne per person on board for consecutive sailings. This policy change takes effect immediately.
Previously, guests were only allowed to bring a 12-pack or 12-ounce cans of beer on board. The new policy also clarifies that Rockstar and Monster energy drinks, which are typically 16 ounces, are considered non-alcoholic and can be brought on board in sealed containers up to a maximum of 12 per person.
Carnival defines a "small quantity" of non-alcoholic beverages as up to 12 sealed cans or bottles. Guests are not permitted to bring any other alcoholic beverages, including hard liquor or beer, on board. All alcohol must be consumed in public areas of the ship, and guests may not bring alcohol into their staterooms or other private areas.
